Currently hiring a Seitan Maker

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, independent person to join our team as our primary production operator to make our packaged seitan products. This person would ideally love to work by themselves and have strong communication skills to keep the rest of the team updated. We are a very small team (2-3 people) and value respect, cleanliness, safety, quality control and collaboration in each of our team members.

Compensation

  • competitive wages beginning at $15/hour depending on experience
  • available raises based on performance
  • expected 16-32 hours a week

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • operate machinery to mix, bake, fry and flash freeze ingredients 
  • monitor production processes for quality, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards
  • Inspect finished products for compliance with quality standards
  • package, label, and seal products in accordance with company specifications and regulatory requirements
  • clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and containers to guarantee food safety
  • record production data for batches of food to ensure traceability
  • coordinate with other team members to manage supplies and inventory

 

Requirements

  • must be 18+ years of age
  • experience in food production is a plus, but not required
  • must be authorized to work in the United States
  • must be available for regular shifts on Monday-Thursday (some flexibility in hours is available)
  • must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 4-6 hours at a time
